About Ricky Hawks, Jr
Biography
Ricky is a board-certified behavior analyst (BCBA®) with a robust understanding of applied behavior analysis (ABA). Ricky earned his Masters of Art in Exceptional Special Education with a specialization in Applied Behavior Analysis from the University of West Florida.
Ricky's expertise spans across diverse age groups, ranging from 2-year-olds to individuals over 50. Ricky has delivered ABA services in home, schools, and clinical settings. Since 2021, Ricky has been offering personalized one-on-one training to individuals pursuing their BCBA®, BCaBA®, and RBT® certifications.
Ricky's teaching philosophy revolves around an individualized, relatable, and easily digestible approach, aimed at facilitating a deep understanding of ABA principles at an applicable level. This distinctive method not only helps individuals grasp these principles but also demonstrates their real-world applications across various settings and contexts.
Ricky remains committed to professional development and stays updated with the latest advancements in the field by accruing continuing education units, reviewing research, and reviewing case studies. When he's not fully immersed in his role as a BCBA, Ricky cherishes moments with his family, indulges in football with friends, or unwinds by listening to "lofi" music during his downtime.
